Weidemann, Wesley E. “Wes”, of St. Peters, Missouri, formerly of New Athens, Illinois, passed on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the age of 89. Loving husband of the late Eyleen G. Weidemann; beloved son of the late Alvin and Esther Weidemann; devoted father of Melanie (Bob) Cummings and Mark W. (Tracy) Weidemann; cherished grandfather of Kristen (Tim), Eric, Alisha (Caleb), and Aren (Jenn); treasured great-grandfather of Payslie and Harper; dear brother of Marie Richards, Alice Mentel, Joyce Scace, Nadine Rowald, Wayne Weidemann, Gladys Parker, and Doris Politsch.
He is preceded in death by his siblings; Mertle Winter, Hazel Studer, Virgil Weidemann, Al Weideman, and Maurice Weidemann.
Wesley proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years where he was a Quality Control Inspector. Wes was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ferguson, MO, The American Legion and The VFW, both in Overland, MO. His number one enjoyment was playing the accordion, harmonica, cards, and pool. Wes was an avid outdoorsman, always enjoying fishing and hunting. He enjoyed traveling with his wife. Wes “Enjoyed the Party”, especially the days at the club house. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
