Wesley Martin Ridgway, Sr. of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at the age of 93. Loving husband of the late Eva Ridgway; beloved son of the late Tonie O. and Leola F. Ridgway; Devoted father of Erma Diane (Mike) Haper, Wesley M. Ridgway, Jr., David A. (Connie) Ridgway, and Janet (Allen) Wishman; cherished grandfather of 12, great-grandfather of 22, and great-great-grandfather of 3. Wesley is also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Ridgway and Tonie Ridgway.
Wesley proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad for 31 years and had also worked for the Nickel-Plate Railroad, and Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. Intervening years he spent chasing and photographing steam trains with his son-in-law Mike. Wesley also enjoyed taking and collecting stereo photographs. Wesley was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Wesley's name to the
American Cancer Society.
