William ("Bill") A. Strong II of St. Charles, Missouri died on Friday, October 31, 2014 at the age of 74. He was the loving husband of Carolyn Elizabeth Strong (nee: Sundermeier); beloved son of the late William Austin and Eva Strong (nee: Rowsey) of Kansas City, Missouri; devoted father of William A. (Joan Gillcrist) Strong and Rachel E. (Scott) Stack; cherished grandfather of Alexander Strong, Morgan Strong, Elisabeth Stack, and Katherine Stack; and dear brother-in-law of Arthur Sundermeier. Bill is survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his sister Sandra Gentile, twin sister Nancy Strong, and brother Stephen Strong. Bill was a prominent figure in, and proud supporter of, the St. Charles business community, always very welcoming to the guests of the Sundermeier RV Park and Conference Center, which he owned with his wife Carolyn. Together they also created Beefeaters Restaurant and the Banquet Center of the Little Hills. Bill was a devoted, fun-loving family man whose most cherished time was spent on family outings, at his children's numerous sporting events and school field trips, and vacationing with his children and grandchildren. His charismatic nature and warm heart left a lasting impression everyone he met.
He was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Immanuel Lutheran Church Choir, and the Optimist Club. He most recently served on the Board of Directors of Crime Stoppers of St. Charles, and the Missouri Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, was on the Council of Delegates for the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, and was a member of the St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce.
