William B. Stinson

October 30, 1944 — March 2, 2021

William “Bill” Benjamin Stinson, age 76 of Wright City, MO died peacefully with family March 2, 2021.

Born October 30, 1944 in St. Louis, MO to the late William Chester Stinson and Carmela Mary Stinson (nee Tacony). Bill was a lifelong devoted Catholic.

Beloved husband of Janice Stinson (nee Brashier) since April 15, 1967. Devoted Father of the late William Anthony Stinson, Joseph Michael Stinson, Gregory Chester Stinson (Nichole Torpea), and Charles Eugene Stinson (Chelsea Stinson). Devoted Grandfather of Mercedes Rose Stinson, the late William Gabriel Stinson, Haley Sophia Stinson, Blake Edward Stinson, Denzel Ulysses Stinson and Cheney Koch. Devoted Brother-in-law, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend.

Bill graduated CBC Class of 1962, attended Mizzou-Columbia, and Florissant Valley Community College. He proudly served in the 110 Tactical Fighter Squadron ANGUS, from Oct 1, 1965 to July 11, 1980. Bill joined his father in the family business, Tech Manufacturing Co., Aerospace Machine Shop, from 1966 until 2003. He then began and ran W.C. Select Auto Center in Wright City, MO until 2008.

Bill had a lifelong passion for children’s sports, serving as President of the St. Charles County CYA for many years; coaching and cheering for all of his “all-stars”. He was a St. Louis Sports Superfan.  He loved dancing, cruisin’ and singing to the oldies. And he found “Sheer Bliss” in the later years on the lake in his boat with his many friends that created too many great memories to count.  His zest for life and his love of his family and friends have left us with endless vivid vignettes that will never be forgotten.

Bill ran for State Representative MO House District 63 in 2012 to “ensure the exceptional education opportunities of the children of Missouri.”  To help fulfill his wish, the family is working to develop an athletic scholarship in Bill’s name with the Wright City School District. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to this effort to allow his community to be served in his honor. Contact immediate family for details.
