William Bill A. Walker

October 16, 1915 — May 17, 2002

William A. ''Bill'' Walker Jr, 86, formerly of O'Fallon Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2002 in Sun City West Arizona. Bill and his wife, Wanda were married June 8, 1940. They operated A&B Nursery in Lake Saint Louis for 30 years, prior to retiring in 1987. Bill was a member of Kiwanis for 30 years, and was the ''Champion Pancake Salesman'' for the annual Kiwanis pancake breakfast. Bill was preceded in death by his parenst, Althea Walker in 1977, and William A. Walker, Sr. in 1978,, and grandson Ryan Walker in 1983. He is survived by his wife, Wanda, of the home, two sons, Allan and his wife Sue of Surprise, Arizona, and Roger of Tulsa Oklahoma, one granddaughter, Cheryl Wood, of Leavenworth, Kansas, one grandson, SSG Scott Walker, of San Marcos Texas, and two great grandchildren, Colin Perkins and Tia Walker. Although Bill was an only child, he has many cousins and was responsible for beginning a tradition of an annual ''Walker Cousins Reunion''. The family suggests memorials be given to the American Parkinsons Disease Association.
