William “Bill” K. King Sr. of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 84 on Saturday, December 12, 2020. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margie Elizabeth King; his parents, Elton and Linnie King; and his siblings, Harold King, Donald King, Willean King, Kathleen Gibson, Richard King, Jack King, and Marvin King.
Bill is survived by his children, Traci (Don) Hoeting, Bill (Kim) King, Jr., Tammy (David) Coveney, and David (Amber) King; his grandchildren, Jessica (Kris), Natalie (David), Kyle (Xanti), Eric, Gavin, John, Delaney, and Aiden; his siblings, JoAnn (Frank) McLeod and Gary (Brenda) King; and his nieces and nephews.
Bill was a devoted member of Bible Baptist Church in St. Charles. Through his rich church life he volunteered fifty years with the bus church ministry, and ministered to thousands in three states. His strong faith in God was a true testament to his life, and it was through his faith that Bill was able to serve others and make lasting impressions on many lives. After retiring from Trans World Airlines, Bill went to work at the Francis Howell School District where he was a favorite of the students at many schools, particularly Francis Howell Middle School where he served as a cafeteria aide. For fun, Bill enjoyed tennis and other sports, but above everything he treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren and the chance to see them at their sporting events or band concerts. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He truly never knew a stranger.
Memorial contributions in Bill’s name may be made to
the Salvation Army.
