William “Bill” Kalist of Wentzville, MO, passed away at the age of 93 on Saturday, November 14, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Irene Kalist; and his siblings, John Kalist, Bob Kalist, Joe Kalist, Irene Shutz, Fran Wiegel, and Mary Hale.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Audrey Kalist; his children, Mark (Teresa) Kalist, Michael (Deborah) Kalist, Christopher "Matt" (Heather) Kalist, and Mitch (Susan) Kalist; his grandchildren, Aaron Kalist, Andrew Kalist, Sean (Barbara) Kalist, Kelley (Randy) Rawlings, Alexia Kalist, Ethan Kalist, Lauren Kalist, and Henry Kalist; his great-grandchildren, Ellis Rawlings, Troy & Emmett Kalist, Miranda, Mallory, and Gabe Rawlings; and his brother, Michael (Linda) Kalist.
Bill proudly served his country during World War II as a master sergeant with the US Army, later working for McDonnell-Douglas and enjoying a successful career there for over thirty-seven years. He was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of St. Charles and carried a passion for photography. An avid Cardinals fan, Bill also played semi-pro fast pitch softball as a first baseman. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial contributions in Bill’s name may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
