William “Bill” Luera

October 31, 1925 — October 15, 2017

William Luera of St. Charles, Missouri, passed on Sunday morning, October 15, 2017, peacefully in his home with his crucifix and Bible in hand.

Loving husband of the late Dorothy J. Luera for 52 years; dear father of Linda J. (Edgardo) Sanchez; cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Alexandra, Dimitri, and Scarlett. The family would like to thank his caregivers for their quality time spent with him.

William and his wife established Riviera Package Liquor of St. Charles in 1964 located at 3025 Hwy 94 North. William is the definition of hardworking and dedication. He built his house and with that the first liquor store business in north St. Charles area. William was a cartographer at DMAC. He worked on the Apollo 11, Apollo 12, and the Cuban Missile Crisis missions. He had been a member of the Shriners for over 50 years as well the Lion’s Club. During his career he earned White House and Air Force recognition. William, or Bill to friends and family, was doing right for the ones he loved and many more. He now rests with his loving wife Dorothy.
