William Arthur Sanford, born in Saint Louis on November 4th 1930. Passed away peacefully on November 5th, the day after his 90th birthday. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis Sanford and dear brother, Kenneth Cassout. He is survived by his sons William and Ronald, his granddaughters Kimberly, Amelia, Mallori (Neil) and Claire, and great-grandchildren Harvie and Gunnar. Bill is also survived by a loving step-family.
Bill was a Korean war veteran serving in the Marines, and spent his career working for AT&T. He also participated in the Senior Olympics. Bill coached his kid’s basketball teams and was a member of Fairmont General Baptist Church. He liked to travel especially to Las Vegas and Hawaii. Bill was a very quiet and humble man, who enjoyed being a simple man.
Memorials may be made in William's name to Fairmount General Baptist Church.
