William Donald Estes, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Betty A. (nee Dee) Estes; devoted son of the late Raymond and Mildred (nee Puckett) Estes. Devoted father of Patricia Leesman and husband, Dale, and the late Cheryl Keling and husband, Brad; loving grandfather of Anthony Leesmann and wife, Kristin, Theresa Cowap and husband, Joseph, Brandon Keling, Rachel Keling, and Adam Keling; treasured great-grandfather of Mackenzie, Leyla, Raelynn, Trenton, Neveah, Aiden, Delilah, Wyatt, and Everett; loving uncle, dear brother of the late James Estes, the late Nancy Ives, and the late Deanna Horton. William proudly served in the United States Army. He was married to Betty for 64 wonderful years. William loved working in the yard, tinkering with things, and kept himself busy. He loved sports, baseball, football and golf. He especially loved the St. Louis Cardinals and Mizzou. William was a quiet man but had a talent with words. He enjoyed writing poems, one of his writings was published in the St. Charles County Journal. William also enjoyed many trips to Colorado on vacation. He had a big heart and was willing to help anyone that needed it. William was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be made in William's name to American Cancer Society.Baue Funeral Homes is currently following CDC recommendations regarding mask and social distancing policies.
