William E. Forbes Jr.

William Edward Forbes Jr., passed peacefully on Monday December 17, 2018 while living in Oregon at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Helen Forbes (nee Jacobs); loving father of Bill (Jill Olendorff) Forbes III and Lynn Forbes.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents William Forbes Sr and Anna Forbes (nee Huber), grandsons Liam and Blane Forbes, brother Michael Forbes and sister Barbara Mason.

Bill was born in Kentucky and also lived in Louisiana, Michigan and Missouri. He served in the US Army Aviation in Europe and Korea and received his degree from South Eastern Louisiana University in Business Administration. He enjoyed international travel as well as road trips, exploring, and camping in the many beautiful places in the US and Canada.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew him.

Bill was interred with military honors with his wife Helen at National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Donations can be offered to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
