William F. Philipps

William Frederick Philipps of St. Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 85 on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Catherine Philipps; and his sister, Sr. Mary Ann Philipps.

William is survived by his wife, Evelyn Philipps; his children, Randall William (Coleen) Philipps, Matthew B. (Stephanie) Philipps, and Renee (Sean) Fronabarger; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Ryan, Catherine, Madeline, Ethan, and Megan; his siblings, James L. (Ann) Philipps and Isabel Weber.

William was a faithful parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, a member of the Men’s Club there, and a member of Daily World Missionaries. He volunteered his time to serve on St. Louis Area Council Troop #976 where for eleven years he was Assistant Scoutmaster. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and for over thirty-nine years he worked as owner/operator of his own business – Bill’s Body Shop.

For fun, William enjoyed bowling, camping, and anything to do with the outdoors. He liked to fish for trout and catfish and was a master barbecuer who enjoyed cooking for everyone. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
