William "Bill" Weber, age 79, died at his home in St. Charles, Missouri on Thursday, September 18, 2008. Beloved husband of Marie A. Weber, he was born January 23, 1929 to the late Irvin F. and Florence P. Weber in St. Charles, Missouri. "Bill" and his wife were blessed with a family of six children, along with daughters and sons-in-law, Wm. Randolph (Sondra) Weber, Marsha R. (James) Stocker, Margot A. (Thomas) Kyd, Craig E. (Vera J.) Weber, Kent I. (Mary) Weber, and Brant A. (Michelle) Weber. He was the proud grandfather of Ashley, Matthew, Stacey, Susan, Erica, Lindsay, Clay, Brian, Andrew, Kevin, Monique, and Curtis, and was great-grandfather of Patrick, Grace, Zachery, and Elizabeth. Bill was a beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend and was loved by all. His dedication to his family and community was unsurpassed. He was a visionary and worked hard to see that community organizations grew and succeeded. He had a gift of connecting with people and because of this his legacy will be one of compassion and service. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Charles, and during employment, he was a Director of Employee Relations at Alcan Aluminum Corp. (Metal Goods Division in St. Louis, Missouri. "Bill" was very active in the community and was honored with several awards, which included the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce "Citizen of the Year", Boy Scouts of America "Silver Beaver Award", Young Men's Christian Association "J. Clinton Hawkins Leadership Award", Youth In Need "First Youth Leadership Award", Boys and Girls Town of Missouri "Founder's Award", and American Institute for Public Service-Channel 5. His membership in many organizations, included: Boy Scouts of America. He was also past District Chairman for Eagle Scout Board of Review, Young Men's Christian Association, past Board Chairman of St. Charles County, past Board Chairman of R.C.G.A. Advisory Committee in St. Charles County, past Chairman of Local Fundraising for St. Peters Olympic Natatorium, past member of the Board of Education for St. Charles School District, member of the St. Charles County Horse Racing Commission, past Chairman for the Police Fire Board City of St. Charles, St. Charles Public Facilities Authority Board Vice-President, past board member of St. Charles City Crime Stoppers, past Fund Raising Chairman for Mathews Dickey Boys Club, board member and co-founder of Business Men's Prayer Breakfast in St. Charles County, board member for Sports, St. Charles, past Executive Director of Missouri K.I.D.S., past board member of Capital Campaign for Youth In Need, and a past board member for Drug Free Missouri.
