William J. Gray Jr.

William “Bill” James Gray Jr., of St Louis, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Juanita Gray; cherished son of the late William and Dorothy Gray; devoted father of Linda (Paul) Warden, William "Bill" (Debbie) Gray III, Allen (Ann Lovell) Gray, Matthew (Christine) Gray and the late Laura (Ken and his wife, Nancy, survives) Clark; loving grandfather of Steve (Mickie) Warden, Christina (Justin Slay) Warden, Sarah (Brian) Loyd, Nathan (Sandi) Gray, Adam (Laura) Gray, Megan (Bill) Gallagher, Jessica (Carl "CJ") Manganelli, Rebecca (Jillian) Adams, Jennifer Clark, James (Ashley) Clark and Daniel Clark; treasured great-grandfather of many; dear brother of Patricia Loos and the late Robert (Sandy survives) Gray and the late Charles (Judy survives) Gray. 

Bill proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy. He was 4th Degree in Knights of Columbus and was an Eagle Scout for many years. Bill traveled a lot over the years and went on many cruises; his favorite destinations were Colorado and Tunica, MS among others.  

In his free time, Bill enjoyed reading, building model ships, gardening flowers and fishing. Later in life, he found a home with Mother of Good Counsel Home and loved the community he met there. Bill was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  

Memorials may be made in William's name to Mother of Good Counsel Home.
