William “Bill” L. Lynch, 88, of St. Charles, MO, passed away on Nov. 4, 2020. Born in Latrobe, PA, Bill was the second of four children of Karl and Antoinette Lynch. He married his beloved wife, JoAnn (Jadot) Lynch of Jeannette, PA, on December 15, 1956, and they had four children together.
He served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, serving on the aircraft carriers U.S.S. Randolph and Bennington. After completing his service, Bill and JoAnn moved to Angola, IN, while Bill pursued a degree in electrical engineering at Trine University. He was hired by McDonnell Douglas Corp. after graduation. During his career, McDonnell Douglas transferred Bill and family to Nagoya, Japan, for three years. He retired after 30 years at the young age of 57. In retirement, Bill and JoAnn traveled the U.S. by RV, taking in national parks and sites across the country. They parked their RV in 2002 in McAllen, TX, where they enjoyed the adventurous life of winter Texans, spending half of the year in St. Charles and half of the year in Texas.
Bill is survived by his wife JoAnn, and his four children, Pattie (Michael) Mansur, Kansas City, MO; Mark (Julie) Lynch, St. Peters; Scott (Alison) Lynch, O’Fallon; and Jennifer (Brian) Andrzejewski, St. Charles. "Papa" treasured his grandchildren: Kathryn (Justin) Snellen, Claire and Robert Mansur, Lauren and Will Lynch; Amanda and Ben Lynch; and Jordan (Alex) Bruns, Taylor (Michael) Hensiek, and Hannah and Audrey Andrzejewski; and great-grandchildren Ford Snellen and Kennedy Bruns. He also is survived by a sister, Barbara Fitzmaurice, in Latrobe, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Karolyn Davoli and Kay Nelson.
