William Joseph Loeffler, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the age of 62. Beloved son of the late Joseph William Loeffler and Evelyn Loeffler; devoted father to Nicholas (Miranda) Stanfield Loeffler, Alexander William Loeffler, and Michelle (Nemanja) Aliece Loeffler; treasured grandfather to Olivia Loeffler, Liam Loeffler, and Emma Loeffler; cherished brother of Diana (John) Brockmann, Kathy (Bill) Long, Janet (Gregg) Wilmes, Mark Loeffler, Michael (Daina) Loeffler, Kenneth Loeffler, and Mary (Steve) Engel; and loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
William proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. After he retired, he went to work for True Manufacturing where he held a perfect attendance record for five years. After True, he went into business for himself buying and selling at the Flea Market. To the community, William was known as “Bargain Bill” because he always knew how to find a good deal. He was also a faithful parishioner of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in O’Fallon and attended mass weekly. Throughout his life, he gave back to the community by volunteering and donating to various types of charity drives. William had a very kind heart and always wanted to make people laugh. It could be said that it was his goal in life to bring laughter to those around him. He loved his kids and family more than anything in the world. William also was known as the "fun uncle" and loved being a kid with them himself. He was the goofiest of the goofy and always knew how to make someone smile even on their worst days. He was dearly loved by his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed.
