William Gerard Maryan passed away Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 at the young age of 66. He leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.
Born August 5th, 1957, William was the cherished son of Edward and Shirley Maryan, dear brother of Tina (Brian) Spencer, Tom Maryan, Alan (Kathy) Maryan, Debbie Maryan and the late Michael (Joy) Maryan. Throughout his life, he exemplified the values of kindness and integrity instilled in him by his upbringing.
William's greatest joys in life were his beloved wife Sandra and his family. As a devoted father, he poured love and support into the lives of his children, Samantha and Kyle, nurturing their dreams and supporting them through life's challenges. He quickly extended that love to his son in-law Tyler and daughter in-law Madison, and his grandchildren, Isla Rae and Jack William (unborn).
As we bid farewell we remember his emotional spirit and generosity. He cherished every moment he spent with his family and friends, creating memories that we will treasure forever. William’s perfect day would start with waking up with Sandy and arranging the entire family to meet for breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Next up would be bowling, playing ball in the side yard with his grandpups, an afternoon nap, and Sandy’s lasagna or Mandarin Garden for dinner. Admiring a '69 Chevelle, catching a Rush concert, checking the pool skimmers, doing a load of laundry, and enjoying a turtle sundae at Freddy's were a few of his other favorite things.
In addition to his role as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, he was a hard working man who dedicated 47 years to perfecting his craft and building lasting friendships at McFry Excavating. His passion for his work was evident from his skills and eagerness to show his family any construction site he worked on. In both his professional and personal life, he approached every task with sincerity.
Though William may no longer be with us in body, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, serving as a lasting reminder of the profound impact one loving soul can have on the world. He will be remembered by many names including, Bill, Billy, Billiam, Pollock, Willie, Willhelm, Willamina, babe, and bro, and his presence will be sorely missed.
In honor of his boundless affection for his grandpups, contributions in the memory of William Maryan can be made to the Midwest Dachshund Rescue.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14th from 4-8 PM at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center. A Mass will be held at Sts. Joachim & Ann Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 15th at 10 AM. Burial to follow at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
