MATTHEWS, William, O'Fallon, MO, January 26, 2007 age 79; dearest husband of May Matthews; dear father of Richard (Sharon) Matthews, William Matthews, Jr., Kathy (Samuel) Guccione, Linda (James) Simon, Laura Matthews, Mary (John) Ross; beloved grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 5; preceded in death by his parents, James G. and Selma Matthews; his son, James George Matthews; brother, James George Matthews, Jr. and sisters, Virginia Hauwe and Violet Shehorn. Mr. Matthews was a member of IBEW Local #1 for 52 years, the Scotish Rite, O'Fallon VFW Post 5077, Paul Revere Masonic Lodge No. 330, the Boy Scouts of America and served in the U.S. Navy.
