William R. Hoffmann

William Raines Hoffmann, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at the age of 86. Loving husband of Dolores Hoffmann; devoted father of Linda (Hilton) Kahn, Steve (Cathy) Hoffmann and William C. (Kathleen) Hoffmann; treasured grandfather of Shena Hoffmann, Hannah Kahn, Zachary Kahn, Nora (Jonathan) Dworski, and Grant Hoffmann.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Laura Hoffmann; his two sisters Muriel Hofmann and June Vogel.

William retired from McDonnell Douglas as a lead engineer after over 31 years of service. He loved life and having fun with his family and friends. William was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He and his wife shared over 60 married years together and went on many adventures traveling all over the world in their RV. William also proudly and honorably served his Country in the United States Navy aboard the destroyer Herbert J. Thomas as an electronic technician. William enjoyed traveling, outdoor activities and home brewing. William was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in William's name to American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans.
