Virgil Kupfer, of Old Monroe, MO, passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of 34 years to Terri Diane Kupfer; devoted father of Bob (Sue) Kupfer, David (Patti) Kupfer and Heather (Scott) Morris; loving grandfather of Jennifer (Mike) Scanlon, Katie Kupfer, Zachary Kupfer, Shannon Kupfer, Lucas Kupfer, Andrew Morris, Tommy Morris, Noah Morris and Ryan Morris; dear brother of Edward Kupfer and Marlene (Chuck) Green.
Virgil is preceded in death by his siblings, Alice (the late Robert) Rost and Virginia (the late Louis) Weiss and his parents, Inez and Ervin Kueck.
Virgil was a Mechanical Engineer at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for almost 50 years. After retiring in 2010, Virgil enjoyed traveling with his wife, Terri across the United States and Europe. He loved to learn about history and coordinate a new trip. Virgil was a supportive father and grandfather, always taking the time to coach a sport or volunteer for an event, he always wanted to see things through. Virgil could talk to anyone and never met a stranger. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Virgil's name to National Brain Tumor Society.
