Wilma Jean Lindsay (nee Brockes), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Edward Ray Lindsay (married 41 years); cherished daughter of the late Clyde and Pearl Brockes. Devoted mother of Larry Lindsay, daughter-in-law Lillie Lindsay; loving grandmother of Makayla Rose Lindsay, Nicholas Scott Lindsay, Christopher Powell, Daniel Powell, Shyanne Powell, and Logan Powell. Preceded in death by her brother, Robert Brockes.
Wilma worked for St Louis Dye Casting prior to the birth of her son Larry Lindsay in 1966. She then became a housewife and mother – devoting her life to her family. In the late 80s she followed a passion and went to work at The Village Peddler (you can find a video on YouTube). She then worked at Dierbergs bakery where she met some of her very best friends.
After her retirement she took a very active role in the lives of her two grandchildren, Makayla and Nick.
Wilma was an avid bowler and was on many bowling leagues. She loved decorating her home for every holiday. She traveled a lot and has visited every state except for one – the coldest one – Alaska.
Wilma always had a bright smile and great sense of humor. Wilma was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
