Winona Jean Hoostal

January 3, 1918 — March 30, 2003

Winona Jean Hoostal was born to the late Richard Thomas and Wilma Fowler in Washington, Pennsylvania. In 1939 she married George Hoostal in Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs. Hoostal was employed by the Brevard County School Board of Education in Melbourne, Florida as a school teacher for 23 years. She retired at the age of 76. She was educated at the Ohio State University and received her Bachelor of Arts in Education at Rollins College in Florida. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Mrs. Hoostal is survived by four children: Judith Moore (Thomas) of St. Charles, Missouri, Sandra Ward (Greg) of Sparta, New Jersey, Kevin Hoostal (Julie) of Burnsville, Minnesota and Gary Hoostal of Melbourne, Florida; a brother, Sam Fowler (Jean) of Florida and two sisters: Sarah Johns of Washington, Pennsylvania and Juanita Peckerman of New Jersey; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Jean Ann McKearney; and 8 brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 2 at St. Joseph's Carmelite Home, 723 First Capitol Drive, St. Charles at 9:30 AM.
