Winona L. “Winnie” Heine

August 9, 1933 — December 12, 2018

Winona L. “Winnie” Heine (nee Whiteside) of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 85 on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard J. “Bernie”. Heine; her parents, William and Katie Whiteside; her sister, Marjorie (the late Roy) Conn and sister-in-law Sherry Whiteside.

Winona is survived by her dear children, David W. (Pamela) Heine, Brenda L. Heine, Jane K. Taylor, and Sharla A. (David) Fischer; her grandchildren, Michael (Heather) Stephens, Matthew (Kat Walker) Heine, Jacob Fischer, Kimberly Heine and Jessica (Tyler) Hemsath; her brother, William Whiteside; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Winona worked as a professional secretary during her early career and advanced to the top-ranking position as a financial analyst at McDonnel Douglas. She achieved honorable awards for her excellence, brilliance, and talents displayed in her job performance.

Winona cherished her 59 years of marriage to Bernie her high school sweetheart and happily ever-after forever love of her life. Some of her favorite activities she shared with Bernie included sailing, bike riding, taking walks, and eating lunch out. Other hobbies she enjoyed including sewing, reading, solving puzzles, creating computer spreadsheets, and being very organized. She loved caring for her family and putting their needs first. She enjoyed vacationing throughout the U.S. with her family, especially at St. Simons Island, Georgia.

Contributions in Winona’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society. Services will be private.
