Yvonne Thornley

Yvonne Sue Thornley (nee Segler), of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the age of 78. Cherished daughter of the late Virginia Huff; devoted mother of Matthew “Matt” J. (Christine) Thornley and Dyan Thornley; loving grandmother of Kayla Thornley, Arianna Torgerson and Jaxson Thornley. 

Yvonne Thornley passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of adventure, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family. A true lover of the outdoors, Yvonne found joy on the water, especially during float trips along her favorite rivers. She had a spirit for travel and cherished road trips, with California holding a special place in her heart. Yvonne was a genuine caretaker by nature, always putting the well-being of others before her own.

As a proud mother and grandmother, her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she embraced each day with a big personality and infectious zest. Yvonne’s presence filled every room, and she treasured her time spent laughing and sharing memories with family and friends. Her loss will be deeply felt by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire.
